@ofgem should smart meters actually work? Is there a fix for gas smart meters that won’t communicate with Scottish power? Brand new (less than a year old) and has never ‘communicated’! What’s wrong?

Last May, @ScottishPower suddenly added £5,000 to my bill. Naturally, I informed them that this was an error. They have done nothing to fix it. Since then, the outstanding amount has risen to over £10,000. They claimed it was behind addressed. I’ve had many, many phone calls 1/

@SP_EnergyPeople Bad service, trying to resolve a problem, been ages on the phone to be disconnected by a rude operator, my account has been closed and i have no way of trying to sort this out! Impossible to resolve this when I get no answer!!!

@SP_EnergyPeople I have been having a lot of problems with you, tried to speak with someone, which eventually I managed to, to be then disconnected! My account has been shut down and I keep trying to resolve my situation and I cant!!!!

@Janela_X I’ve had the same issue with Scottish power for an elderly relative. I’ve challenged them on more than one occasion for this, it’s totally out of order.

@ScottishPower @SP_EnergyPeople twice I’ve been advised I will receive an email looking into my query and twice they’ve failed to do so. The service is awful. My issue still isn’t resolved…no choice but to go the Ombudsman 🙃

@civilising @ofgem @ScottishPower My case for electric supply is being considered by the Ombudsman. But today I received a £929 bill for a gas prepayment meter my dead tenant had fitted against my knowledge. He died in June, the house is empty, boiler broken, gas switched off. They hang up the phone.

@ScottishPower are the most infuriating company to deal with!! Been trying to resolve an issue since LAST APRIL to prove the outstanding bill of our previous tenant has been paid, sent them proof and they still keep hounding for a payment that's already been paid 😡😡😡😡😡
