@supertanskiii I am also with Plusnet and I found the router wasn’t good either, so I bought a Netgear Nighthawk. Nice user interface but it wasn’t reliable, kept needing to be reset. I eventually bought a Draytek Vigor 2862. Awful user interface but it’s very powerful and hasn’t let me down.

@supertanskiii What is the problem with your Plusnet router ?
Have you spoken to Plusnet and asked them for a new one ?
You shouldn't need to retain your existing router as a modem
I'm a big fan of Draytek and Cisco routers but they can be tricky to set up as there's a LOT in there to bugger up

@supertanskiii Surely first stop is ask Plusnet to send a new one. If its ****e, connecting to something else that then connects to the router won't necessarily fix the problem

@Plusnet please rectify my internet, working fine for majority of the month but when it comes to the time of the month for bill payment my internet starts playing up goes down. None of the billing issues are my fault, I am over two months in credit.

Whatever the issue was last night with my @Plusnet it’s seemed to have fixed but I have lost abit of speed whether that goes up I don’t know but very kindly got a phone call this morning from @Plusnet which is great CS. Thanks 🙏

@Plusnet regular as clockwork as it approaches my billing date my internet starts to be intermittent. Or goes down completely as it has done now. Don't tell me wiring your engineer last person to touch it. I am in credit do not need to make payment.

@Plusnet I refuse to.private message. The account holder has also complained about this and apparently a 'firmware' is being pushed to the router. This clearly isnt working because we have had the same issue tonight. Our contract will be cancelled by us, with refusal to pay any charges!!!

@Plusnet just lost a parent to bereavement. Plusnet don't have a bereavement team, only customer service. Telephone to advise my Dad has p***ed away and they asked for my Dad's p***word 😡😡. Seriously. Someone has died and I'm expected to know a p***word. Ongoing issue I see

Used them for years with no issue on both ADSL, then FTTC and mobile too.
CS is good when needed and UK based too.

@Plusnet Been with you for years, biggest issue is "authentication errors" devices getting kicked off.
Had it loads a while back, then it stopped now its happening again.
If I'm not changing any setting & the errors goes away for months & then returns surely that suggests its your end?

@Plusnet Plus, as I keep explaining, the speed alone isn't the problem, it's the fact that in a matter of minutes it can vary from below 5Mbps to over 50! I just want, need and expect a consistent service, as I've had from all previous ISPs.

@Plusnet Hi Jess, you're at least the third member of your team to ask this! We seem to be at an imp***e because I don't think it's reasonable to expect me to use a wired connection (it's not the 90s!), but you guys refuse to acknowledge there's an issue if I only use WiFi.
