3) I use the Canada Food Guide. It’s quantities that matter. You can use MyFitnessPal to get insights in to how much you are really eating. I also had Bariatric surgery and I’m on a diabetic drug that is helping me lose weight.

Scale yourself down to two meals a day NO snacking.
Eliminate carbs from one if not both of those two meals and the pounds will melt in less than 90 days.

@TheBrockEasley @MyFitnessPal i went from 280 to 260 this year. Trying to lose weight as well. My main problem is snacks in between meals, so I tend to just eat when I'm hungry. At this point I'm not losing weight but I'm not gaining it either.

day at a time..day at a time.. that's how i approach it. then before you know it, 3-5 mos have p***ed and you're down 20+ lbs.
that's just what helps me, and, i found an exercise i love to do, helped a lot!

If you can resist the urge and get back down to std. portion size without snacking I KNOW you can do it!

For me, keto (or really 'almost keto,' just dropping my carbs down as low as I could) was the easiest way I've ever lost weight, I never ever felt like I was hungry. I missed sugary stuff, but there's ways around that.

It’s not that I believe calories down exist.
I simply believe that we don’t need to count/weigh/measure all of our food in order to be healthy or achieve our goals.

@TheBexecutioner The easiest way for me is to calculate each meal before I eat that way if it’s higher than I should I don’t get that and get a smaller amount MyFitnessPal says for my height and weight I can have 2180 calories to loose 2 lbs a week but I rarely go over 1800 and I’m down 44lbs now

Apps such as @CarbManagerApp and @MyFitnessPal should be given some credit for helping stuggling alcoholics watch their intake when trying taper down.
I'm a fitness enthusiast with a mild form of alcoholism, these apps have saved my life at times.

downloaded myfitnesspal when i was feeling down about my weight knowing it's a slippery slope into old ed habits for me. i had it for less than 48 hrs before deleting and that is big for me! i did not have that power a few yrs ago! focusing on intuitive eating now instead 😌

@Sandcheeto So I personally have a problem with my diet as well. I have been eating more lately so it definitely helps. Just stock up on protein and you can use MyFitnessPal to track your intakes. Getting in the gym to start was the hardest part of it all to me

Now you have the caloric goal down, you know the foods to eat, it’s just time to track and apply discipline daily!
One thing I’ll note is- the best fat loss diet will be high in protein. You can adjust your macros in MyFitnessPal to be 1 gram/lb

@kateyvain I swear if what you're saying is true, you will eventually lose weight. You have to. Unless you have a thyroid issue, you will lose weight. I didn't lose weight noticably for weeks. Start using MyFitnessPal if you havent. Get protein yogurts and protein drinks.

I couldn’t have done this without forcing myself to build new routines. Working out consistently and LOVING it thanks to @CentrFit, understanding how to better fuel myself and not crash on a day I go over my deficit, tracking with @MyFitnessPal and feeling good all around.

don’t stress about weight! what’s important is how you feel about your body. your size will shrink even if you weight doesnt. dont go on crash course diet. you can indulge in snacks / fast food but limit your intake within your calorie deficit. download myfitnesspal app to track.

MyFitnessPal hides their outages from Down Detection sites by making sure their main page is up, while every other page is down. Whatever their motives are, they're the only site I know of that does this.
