Track this on Myfitnesspal and do this for two weeks - if you lose a pound a week on average then stay there. If you don't lose then take only 100 off until you do lose (don't chop 100 off if you keep going over at the weekend cause the problem is then your weekend).

@Hopathin MyFitnessPal, been using it for a LOBGGG time and simplest, easiest calorie/macro tracker, only issue is they seem to be locking more and more important features behind a paywall but still has a lot of value

@UltimateSlab Yes so im using 'myfitnesspal' at the moment which currently for the weight I am plus the amount of exercise from my job being sat down for 8 hours, works out to letting me eat roughly 1.5k calories a day, ao far over the last few days depending on what I am eating I end up with

After my triceps surgery (October last year) and during the holidays, I didn't track my macros. Result, gained unnecessary weight. Since the beginning of this month got back on track with @MyFitnessPal 10lbs down and counting.

I tend to track a certain amount of calories and take protein/creatine supps, but I don’t obsess. I know when I’ve overdone it or underdone it. I could be better at this side of things - use an app like MyFitnessPal if you want to get detailed

MyFitnessPal, but it’s not an app.
It’s a person that follows you around, writing down what you eat and when you exercise.
With a Premium subscription they slap stupid food out of your hands.

@illdrivefaster all this means is that your caloric intake was more than your caloric burn. track your macros using myfitnesspal or similar apps - starving yourself isnt the solution.

Problem - I have done this song and dance a number of times! MyFitnessPal, notebook, etc. I have tried tracking my daily intake. All lasting no more then 1-2 weeks. None ever making it into the form of tangible data.

@DavidMckay79 @Ste***ent I do track calories reasonably carefully, that's important I think. I use myfitnesspal, others are available. Eating too little would be a problem too, given activity levels and needing to fuel that. A few hundred cal deficit is enough to lose a bit of weight each week.

@BriAtCookiebox MyFitnessPal used to track energy intake, but I don't recall it tracking anything else. I gave up on it.
The unfortunate problem is that a lot of packaged food is nutritionally "junk food", and you're better off eating half a raw cabbage and two raw carrots as a snack and meal.

I think I'm done dealing with myfitnesspal. App crashed on me for the 2nd time today and it keeps spamming me to get premium. What once were basic features like barcode scanning is locked behind a sub. Honestly, this wouldn't be an issue if the app wasn't dog**** on top of it.

If You Crash Diet...You'll lose weight fast, but you will lose all your muscles.
Instead, we tracked Calories & Protein on MyFitnessPal to be in a calorie deficit.
And lost weight at an average rate of 1Lb -2 Lbs per week.

I have averaged 15 minutes each day of mobility work . And added in tissue work and foam rolling in the evenings.
