Google's network effects are mostly on the self serve ad tools side. Google drive/slides etc aside
One problem with the indirect goog specific seo optimized network effects argument is that information has short half life. If it's there and it's good se's have to find it

@TeamYouTube My Chrome browser is up to date, and I restarted again. I deleted the videos & attempted to reinsert them. The issue persists. This is also happening with videos saved in Google Drive when I embed those. I am not sure what the issue is & have to redo my videos for next week. :(

@googledrive Spammers have started to invite people KNOWING that they can't report it until they get to a computer.
I have since disabled do***ent invite notifications on my phone but that should not be necessary.

It's a digital world now. Digitize them and throw them up on Google Drive, OneDrive, and AWS (with MFA enabled and enforced on all platforms). Problem solved.

No.179 and No.179++: That's why I no longer used Google Drive for storing archives. I have once had that kind of problem before with the Drive. Now I'm using Dropbox instead.

@mitchjaylineham oof yess I'm always worried it could happen again;; my hard drive wasnt even old, it just.. stopped... (plus it was an SSD & was less likely to have the problem it had.. compared to HDD ㅠㅠ) I've saved to google drive a lot since then haha 😂😂

LiNK has announced a byp*** to Google Drive download restrictions, but I think it's the problem with you guys who talk nonsense.

@lennysan Not a tooling problem but a mindset problem.
Most of knowledge is split across multiple sources - confluence, mail, and Google drive and is untagged making it impossible to refer to later.
Trying to tag all information so that it is retrievable via BASB, let's see how it goes.

@itsrorypower Voice typing is saving my life right now. Google drive has it under “tools.” You’ll have to do a lot of editing after but it’s super helpful for just getting things down.

I typically use around 2TB down and 1TB up, most I've used in a month was around 8TB down and upload considerably more but this was a one off when plex was beta testing their cloud streaming and I uploaded all media to google drive 1 month ~30TB up

Google doesn't do a great job blocking spam from notifications from their own products yet.

These icon changes have annoyed SO MUCH. As someone says further down in the replies, the new designs have lost their functionality, e.g., the calendar looks like a calendar, the doc looks like a doc. The new Google Drive icon is reminding me of another brand but can't remember.
