@EatSleepCycle @rogermerriman Other 1/2 uses iphone5c, 2nd hand about 3 yrs ago off giffgaff. New battery (ebay), wasn't 100% confident to fit but worked. Gets frustrated by apps which don't work on old phones. Didn't know Whatsapp is stopping - that may be a problem too far - family and friend connections.

@giffgaff is there an issue? my sim stopped working around 30 minutes ago, I received a call just before that, everything was fine.. but now it just says 'no service'

@FelicityCloake @O2 Have you looked at Giffgaff? V reasonable costs, and I've been a customer for years with no issues (one tiny outage in service in all that time)

Thankfully it’s only been 6 hours since @giffgaff went down, seems to be stabilising so I’ll hopefully be able to make a call within an hour or so

Always a problem every month with @giffgaff and now I’m really ****ed because they refuse to take responsibility even when you know there is a problem and do all the steps. I’ll get told to do yet another sim swap (4th this year) https://t.co/WMvKy308lj

@giffgaff Yes, I have just raised a complaint in regards to this as it’s unacceptable and I’ve contacted the Ombudsman with regards to this issue as I’m not being able to use the services that I paid for.

@giffgaff Hi. After several restarts and network resets speed is still unusable. At around 7 am it was OK but from 8am zilch. Now down 0.1 up just fails. Using Ookla Speedtest.

@giffgaff How long after switching will I start getting useable mobile Internet speeds? Switched yesterday but only getting 0.2 mbps up and around the same down. Checked the usual solutions but no luck.

@giffgaff This still doesn’t fix the issue. My email has 2FA active. I left 2FA off for giffgaff so I could access my account from anywhere to request a sim. I will not be able to access my email until I have my phone number HANDY

@giffgaff I’m having real issues with getting data (particularly in towns and cities). My phone says there’s a 4G connection but then says the network can’t be activated. It’s sporadic and happens in Dundee city centre particularly. Is it a data issue or conflict with wifi

I'd probably pick up a pixel 6 pro... And it's dual sim! Oh but wait, one has to be eSIM.
Well I'm sure one of my 2 networks offers eSIM. GiffGaff... No. Three...... No.

@virginmedia have you had a most-of-the-day outage in the OX14 area ? My GiffGaff (i.e. O2) fall back gave up, which is usually a sign of abnormal load on their side - many people going from cable to 4G/5G.

@giffgaff @_lagspike Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm getting almost exactly the same; on a Google Pixel (6 Pro) on 3, my son is on Giffgaff and I get "Invalid Number" whenever I try and call. Deleted and re-entered the number, no joy. Can send messages and WhatsApp etc. It's very weird.

@giffgaff Hey GiffGaff, I have 3 of your data SIMs and finding them virtually unusable due to appalling network coverage. One bar if lucky, and much of the day with zero data access. 02 network status showing problem with a mast but this has not changed for weeks. Suggestions?

@giffgaff No I would recommend you just let your web-store team know - your page abondmemt rates will be high enough for them to clock the issue, it’s happening on mobile and desktop.

@giffgaff Had issues with no signal for days. The network status tracker says there's an issue with a local phone m***. When will this be resolved? I've been unable to received texts for days. The only info available is that engineers are most likely on the case...
